Tablet store, sync and charge for schools

How we helped LapSafe® launch their tablet storage cabinet
that can sync and charge 32 computer tablets

The UK’s leading manufacturer of Smart Locker solutions

LapSafe® specialises in storage and charging solutions for schools. Their team had been hard at work in designing a cabinet that could hold up to 32 tablets and efficiently charge them while storing them securely.

With important education shows on the horizon they came to us for support in working up their concepts and taking through to production.

This technical product called on a lot of engineering experience but also needed an eye for aesthetics so that the cabinets looked as good as they worked. Alongside the mechanical design there was a lot of integrated electronics that called for ultra-safe power management. From initial concepts we used 3D modelling to develop and engineered a fully-working prototype.

The ‘Indigo’ range was launched at the IT in education show BETT and LapSafe® has gone on to
become a trusted brand leader in the education space.
