THE BRIEF

Sometimes speed is of the essence. Our client had a workable design that could create an incredibly compact electric golf caddy. It was high in function and small in size and yet…

We were asked to improve the existing design to make the caddy look appealing as well as functional and to protect its motor from dirt and water.

In order to hit key dates for sales opportunities the product needed to be rolling off the production ramp as quickly as possible.

SOLUTION

We set to work providing concepts and 3D printed prototypes. The chosen solution we called ‘the wedge’ before it became christened the Piranha.

Just one pull on the connecting cord and it grips the pool cover super tight. As we further developed the product it became curved rather than straight as this enabled it to fit around the cover reel more effectively.

THE RESULT

With key sales opportunities met, the Eagle Compact has gone on to sell very well and become incredibly popular with Australian golfers and an oft-spotted fixture on Aussie greens and fairways.
